Simply lasagne...

We had a lazy thursday...with wet weather thruout the day, so it was nice to just laze at home. oh...a happy deepavali to all indian friends.

The nite before deepavali, we were at Cold Storage for some groceries. I saw the offer for buy one free one on mince meat at the meat section. I bought some!! Must cos it's cheap!! And I got some juicy tomatoes too which're really cheap that day! ha ha ha...here goes the 'auntie' in me!

Having nothing much to do on thursday, I cooked a big pot of bolognese meat sauce and it filled up 3 big tubs! I deep-freeze 2 tubs and used 1 for our lasagne meal tonite. It was easy with the sauce ready. I just had to cook some bechamel sauce...instead of flour which I dont have at home, I used corn flour to thicken the sauce!! It tasted fine...no difference! My first time making homemade lasagne today...and since I have a box of instant lasagne sheets sitting in my larder for months!

Here's my baked lasagne...fresh from the oven! Just look at those extra cheesy sauce we put n also heaps of parmesan shavings...that's Mika's favourite! I know it's really fattening! *sigh*

It's yummy...in my tummy! But that bechamel sauce is tad too strong cos I have added extra cheddar!! Anyway...am pleased that our meal turned out well. Someone's even happier that he had lasagne for dinner tonite...and he actually said "sedap-nya" with a satisfied smile!! (at least something bahasa is coming out from him now!!) And he ate 2 servings of mummy's homemade lasagne! *burrp*
