Phrases that melt my heart...

These are phrases that Mika said to me out of the blue. One was last two weeks and the other was yesterday. I am very surprised that he actually knows how to express it with those words. And he loves to end it with "it's true and i am not lying!!" So funny! But for sure I'm very glad that he shows a lot of initiative although he's only goin to be 6yo. He speaks well but he's still very lazy when it comes to homework. He'll whine n cry for awhile before sitting down quietly to do. He's able to come up with all sorts of reasons for delaying it! Me of course stress n mad!

Good thing is he adapts wonderfully in his new kindy lately. Initially he had trouble coping esp on the work, the classroom style of learning and the attention. He's so used to the montessori environment whereby he's pampered and everything was more unstructured. Luckily he shows more interest in academic work n getting along fine now. And his Bahasa Malaysia is improving slowly! Thanks to mummy for sending him for extra classes after school! He doesnt know a word of Bahasa when he first started this year...and is still asking me why one leg is "kaki" and two legs is not "kaki-s"!! How to explain? U tell me!

I'm not pushing him to excel with flying colours. To me, most importantly he enjoys school and scoring an average grade is good enough, ok maybe above average! This one definitely cannot let him know...ha ha ha. As long as he's street-smart when he grows up, I'm happy.
