Turn my side...

That's what Mika says everynite after a bedtime story. He wants me to stay on the bed n turn to his side looking at him while he falls asleep! Yeah...he's a silly billy! When this mummy is in good mood...I'll turn to face him, hug him till he falls asleep. But when the mood is not so rite...esp when I still have things to finish up, I'll go "Mika, u r goin to be 6, u dont need to look at mummy to fall asleep ok!" At times he can go without it, that's when he's really tired n sleepy but most of the time, me the obedient mummy will do it when he says "turn my side, turn my side". Ok...have to admit that I love to hug him n see him drifting off to dreamland. And he's so cuddly wearing his favourite pyjamas, the jammies...yeah...he's still wearing those snug fit jammies! I love jammies too! So so comfy!

Back to that sleeping thing, seriously I dont want him to get used to that habit...so from now on whether the mood is good or not so good...I'll try to get him to fall asleep on his own without me in the room. Just a bedtime story n nitey nite kissy n huggy will do! Have to start somewhere...so I think will start from today.....before that I need to talk to my little darling nicely or rather explain.

So, it's that spoiling him or what? What do u mothers out there have to say?

You know....Ashley is also like that. I HAVE to sleep with her and turn to her side *slap forehead* For about 2 weeks, she was ok when daddy slept with her cos I was busy but for the past 3 days, she cried for me :(

aiyaiyai...tried talking to him n he's feeling a little sad! Silly Alan asked me to stick a picture of my enlarged face on his bolster! ha ha ha. At the moment..he's on the bed n i m out here typing this. It's hard at the beginning...hopefully it turns out fine in no time!

My kids want me to face them too when they go to bed. Like u, i do it when I am in the mood. My helper tells me, if you dont pamper them now, when will you do it? when they are 15? By then they dont want you already. How true. So never mind, do it and enjoy it while you can,.

hi! yeah pamper them when we still can...but then it's difficult sometimes esp when he wants to hv sleep overs at my sis or mum. Bedtime reaches he'll cry n cry for me. I just want him to be more independant, it's good for him too, not too attached. Hmm, we'll see!

At least you didn't get the worse, mine will want to hold on to my arm. My hub had it the worse, his leg was hugged by the little monyet till she fell asleep.
