Some little changes...

With his happy smiling face he shouted...mummy I found my colour pencils when he jumped down from the door steps of his school bus just now. Hurray, he brought home the missing colour pencils plus a sketch of insects for me.

Yeah, am happy that he remembered to find n keep his things on his own at school this time. At least my endless talking didnt go down the drain! I did praise him for being good n responsible during shower and u know what did he say? "I know I am a big boy now...n I need to take care of my things, dont u worry ok, mummy?" Hope he bears that in mind! Also, I praised him for telling me the real story behind the RM10 and he's on cloud nine cos his teacher needed his help...to him his heroic act to trace who are the other 3 who got the money.

And now he's snoring away loudly on the sofa after a hearty lunch. I cooked his favourite...braised pork belly with soy sauce, eggs n tofu plus stir-fry french beans with carrots. We have stopped eating fragrant white rice at home. We have been taking 9grain rice for 2months now as it's full of fiber. Mika loves rice, so it's better to switch cos white rice contains too much complex carbohydrates. We got use to that funny taste some how. Then he ate an apple. Mika eats an apple a day...yes, to keep the doctors away!

And me having time on my hands now to do whatever I like...oh yeah, I was reading kidz mag this morning and wanna share this with all of u...

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A PARENT WHEN:
  • You repeat everything you say at least five times.
  • You are consumed by your children's needs and suppress your own.
  • You do not get to be yourself anymore, not the way you used to be before becoming a parent.
  • You are not the best mum or dad you'd like to be all the time.

Is that true enough?

Mika's kindy will be celebrating parents' day tomorrow and there'll be a 'say no, run n tell' session by speakers from P.S. The Children, which would be very useful to educate young kids on personal safety. I am definitely joining the celebration. And Mika is pretty excited about his presentation tomorrow. By the way, here's me wishing all parents out there a "Happy Parent's Day"...the essence of parenthood is unconditional true love.

doesn't it amaze you when mika came up with that response that he's a big boy now. *sigh* we want them to grow up faster yet not that fast.
